The answer is yes. Pigeons carry 2 common disease cryptococcosis and Histoplasmosis. It is made from fungus that is found in the pigeon droppings. The disease is transmitted to humans by airborne fungus spores. Having the droppings at your house puts you at risk of respiratory disease. There is a lot of info online just search pigeon disease.
How long does it take for the pigeons to be gone?
We tell our costumers to give it about 30 days mostly in cases of a large pigeon problem. Smaller pigeon problems usually don’t take that long. It is important you don’t wait long to get the problem handled because it will end up costing you more and you will likely need to have trapping done as well. As long as all recommended areas are treated there will be no nesting areas opened. Some customers may choose to only treat certain areas for a cheaper price or they are only concerned with certain areas. We always recommend treating potential areas as well as all active areas to assure best results! If pigeons move to an untreated area it is not under warranty. Only areas with our material installed.
how long does it take to have my treatment installed?
Residential homes usually no long than a day. There is always a possibility it may be longer depends on how bad your home is. Our average is 1 day.
Will the treatment keep pigeons away?
Installing treatments for pigeons eliminates their nesting areas. Pigeons may land on your roof like any wild life but they wont have any of the common nesting areas to nest (IF ALL RECOMMENDED AREAS ARE TREATED) leading them to find a new nesting home. For best results treating all active areas as well as potential areas is always our strongest recommendation. If a costumer doesn’t get all recommended treatments done there is always a good chance the pigeons will only be eliminated in OUR TREATED AREAS.
do you have a warranty?
Yes, we have a limited 5 year warranty included in your service. Covering only areas that we treat. If pigeons move to a new area those areas won’t be covered.
do I need to be home for the estimate or install?
No, you don’t have to be home. We can send your detailed estimate electronically. For install you also do not need to be home we just ask you let us know when scheduling or before the install so we can discuss payment and make sure we have access to any gates to sideboards, courtyards and backyards or balconies being treated.
